Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics (兰州财经大学, website) started in 1952 as the Gansu Provincial People’s Government Executive Cadre School; in 1958, it was upgraded to Gansu College of Finance and Economics, under the leadership of the Gansu Provincial People’s Government, and undergraduate education; Former leader of the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Internal Trade; in 1998, a management system co-constructed by the central and local governments, mainly in Gansu; implemented as a master’s degree awarding unit in 2003, and carried out master’s research enrollment and training; in 2015, changed its name It is Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics; in 2018, it was added as a doctoral degree awarding unit; in 2019, it officially launched the recruitment of doctoral students and is the only general college in finance and economics in the three provinces (regions) of Ganqing, Ningxia, and the upper reaches of the Yellow River.
Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics has two campuses, Heping and Duanjiatan, covering an area of more than 1700 acres. The building area of the school building is 730,100 square meters, and the total value of teaching and research equipment is 87.441 million yuan. The green area of the campus is 207,900 square meters, and was awarded the honorable title of “garden-style unit” by the Lanzhou Municipal People’s Government. The library’s collection of 170,800 paper books and 2.486 million electronic books is an important economic management literature information center in Gansu Province. The school recruits students from all over the country. There are nearly 18,000 full-time undergraduates, 1787 graduate students, 10 doctoral students, more than 4,500 continuing education students, and 72 foreign students.
