Nicolaus Copernicus University, Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management

The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (NCU) was founded in 1945. NCU is a state (public) university and one of the largest universities in Poland, currently comprising 16 faculties (including 3 medical faculties at Collegium Medicum NCU in Bydgoszcz with two hospitals). It provides undergraduate and graduate programmes of studies for almost 18 000 students, offering education in over 100 fields of study and over 30 postgraduate programmes. The university employs about 4 500 staff on both Toruń and Bydgoszcz campuses, over half of whom are academic teachers. NCU alumni now number around 200 000. The NCU obtained the status of a research university in 2019 as one of ten Polish universities. Since 2020 NCU has been a member of Young Universities for the Future of Europe alliance (YUFE) – one of the first European Universities. Since 2023 NCU has been a member of the do consortium Young European Research Universities (YERUN).

Our potential and consistent performance over the years have established Nicolaus Copernicus University as one of the top five universities in Poland. The strengths have also earned NCU a place among the top 4% of universities worldwide, according to the QS World University Rankings.

The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management (FESM), established in 1968, is the biggest scientific and research centre in the region and it is active in the area of economics, finance and management. We offer education including three-year bachelor studies of the 1st cycle (undergraduate), and two-year master studies of the 2nd cycle (graduate). Multiple diploma and joint diploma programmes are also available, for example in collaboration with the University of Angers (France), University of Macerata (Italy), University of Oldenburg (Germany), University of Granada (Spain), Hassan II University in Casablanca (Morocco), Simon Kuznets National Kharkiv University of Economics (Ukraine) and University of Applied Science in Upper Austria Steyr (Austria).

We are included in Eduniversal ranking of thousand best business schools, obtaining so-called Three Palms of Excellence, which means that it has been recognised as an excellent centre with a strengthened international influence.

Our EMBA programme is placed as one of the TOP15 MBA programmes in Poland.
