The Faculty of Business Management (FPM) is an integral academic part of Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA), a public and self-governing higher education institution and Slovakia’s oldest and largest university specialising primarily in economics, business and management. FPM traces its origins to 1953 and has developed into a specialised centre for education and research in business economics and management.The Faculty provides education at Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels and combines academic excellence with research, internationalisation and strong engagement with professional practice. Its educational model connects research-informed teaching with practitioner involvement, corporate partnerships, applied projects, internships and international learning opportunities.The Faculty’s mission is to foster the development of a well-rounded personality, knowledge, wisdom, goodness and creativity in individuals through the provision of higher education; to advance knowledge through creative scientific research in the fields of economics and business management; and thereby to contribute to the development of a knowledge-based society. The Faculty combines higher education with basic and applied research and the transfer of knowledge into economic and managerial practice.Building on more than 70 years of experience in management education, FPM aims to strengthen its position as an internationally respected Central European faculty of management and a natural choice for management education in its region, while being a respected partner for business, professional practice and society. Its future development is centred on three interconnected pillars: education, research and societal impact, with professional practice embedded across all three.
