Macquarie Business School achieves AMBA re-accreditation, confirming itself in the top 2% of business schools

Macquarie Business School has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities in post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.

Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA and recent MBA alumni of Macquarie Business School are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.

Accreditation from the Association of MBAs represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.

Macquarie Business School (MQBS) is one of the world’s top business schools. It is consistently ranked among the top 100 business schools worldwide and offers a prestigious Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme.

During the accreditation process conducted by AMBA, members of the accreditation panel, representing senior management, commended the staff who they thought were committed and enthusiastic about the MBA. There was seen to be a clear sense of collegiality which led to engaged and open discussions.

The panel also noted that the school had been ambitious in its design of a truly flexible MBA and is highly committed to creating a quality online experience.

Professor Eric Knight, Executive Dean of the Business School and Professor of Strategic Management says: “Macquarie University has been renowned for its MBA programme for many decades, and we continue to grow from strength to strength through our values: audacity, courage, and transformation. Today our MBA must rise to the emerging challenges of managing with digital technology, leadership with purpose, and creating a global mindset around corporate sustainability. I’m delighted AMBA has recognized our leadership in these areas.”

AMBA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and consider changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding business schools to perform at the highest level continually.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA) said: “I would like to congratulate everyone who worked towards this accreditation   at Macquarie Business School. This school is a prestigious business school in our network of the top business schools globally.”
