IIM Tiruchirappalli receives Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation

IIM Tiruchirappalli was first accredited by AMBA in September 2022 for its flagship PGPM and PGPBM programmes, followed by PGPM HR in 2023. In September 2025, the institute successfully achieved re-accreditation for all three programmes. The accreditation has been granted for a full period of five years, the maximum possible term, which reflects the strength of the school’s performance across all evaluation parameters.

Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA and recent MBA alumni of IIM Tiruchirappalli are invited to be part of AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.

Accreditation from AMBA represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes, which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction, achieve AMBA accreditation.

IIM Tiruchirappalli is based in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. IIMT’s mission is to nurture a learning environment for the creation and dissemination of management knowledge of global standards and to develop leaders of enterprises who add value to society and nation-building.

During the accreditation process conducted by AMBA, members of the accreditation panel, representing senior management from global business schools, commended IIM Tiruchirappalli’s leadership team for its openness, transparency, and strong commitment to continuous improvement. Faculty members highlighted the collaborative culture of the school, while the panel praised the innovative International Week initiative, the MAD (Make A Difference) Project, and the Elixir programme as distinctive components that reflect IIM Tiruchirappalli’s mission of creating socially responsible leaders.
