The College of Management of Technology at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities in postgraduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.
Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA participants, and recent MBA alumni of EPFL are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in over 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.
Accreditation from the Association of MBAs represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.
Established in 1853 as a private technical school, the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) has evolved into a leading research institute and university located in Lausanne, Switzerland. The College of Management of Technology at EPFL was established in 2004 as an interdisciplinary institution integrating management, engineering, and technology, and is the home of the institution’s Executive MBA programme.
During the AMBA accreditation process, the panel members, representing senior management at global business schools, commended the school for ensuring that innovation is a transversal topic throughout the curriculum which they thought elevated the distinctiveness of the programme in a crowded market.
The College and the EMBA programme were seen to be led by an impressive collegiate team that they thought were clearly dedicated to the academic and pastoral wellbeing of participants
Prof. Marc Gruber, Academic Director is "delighted that our Executive MBA program has received accreditation. This recognition is a testament to the quality and rigor of our curriculum, the dedication of our faculty, and the hard work of our staff and participants. It underscores our commitment to providing a world-class education that prepares leaders to excel in the intersection of management and technology."
AMBA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and consider changing trends and innovation in postgraduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation and demanding business schools to perform at the highest level continually.
Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA), said: “I am delighted that the College of Management of Technology at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) has been re-accredited. Innovation is a core value of the institute, and this shines through in every part of their activities. I would like to personally congratulate everyone at the College who worked towards this re-accreditation.”
