EAE extends its international reach with new partnership in China

A new academic partnership between BGA member school EAE Business School Barcelona and Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University in China will focus on exchanges and the development of shared programmes

EAE Business School Barcelona has expanded its presence in China by signing a new co-operation agreement with Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) in Zhuhai, China.

Signed for an initial period of five years, the agreement will focus on student and faculty exchanges, as well as the development of shared academic programmes. It is the BGA member school’s third partnership with an institution in China in recent months, following deals with Anhui Sanlian University and Beijing Union University.

“The alliance with BNBU allows us to expand our opportunities for international cooperation and offer our students and faculty new academic experiences in a leading university environment,” commented Marta Morcillo, business director at EAE Business School Barcelona.

BNBU is itself the result of a partnership and was established as Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College in 2005. It subsequently became the first Sino-Hong Kong co-operative university to be approved by China's Ministry of Education and took on its current mantle of BNBU last year. Offering around 30 undergraduate and postgraduate English-language programmes across six schools, including the Faculty of Business and Management, graduates are conferred with Hong Kong Baptist University degrees.

“This agreement strengthens our international network of academic partners and lays the groundwork for future collaborations in teaching and research with a European institution with a strong international profile,” noted Adolf Ng, dean and professor of business and management at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University.

Founded in 1958, EAE Business School became part of the higher education network Planeta Formación y Universidades in 2007. It is said to have more than 88,000 alumni, representing more than 100 different nationalities.
