Webinar: The Executive DBA: Getting organised and good planning – managing your doctoral studies

This webinar explored how professional doctoral students managed their research alongside personal and professional commitments. Chaired by Dr Geoff Parkes, an Aston DBA graduate, the session focused on strategies for effective organisation and planning throughout doctoral studies.

  • 28 March 2024 | 4:00 PM–5:00 PM
  • Online

Dr Parkes was joined by current DBA candidates from Aston Business School, who shared their personal experiences of balancing the demands of professional life with the rigours of academic research. The discussion highlighted the broader requirements of practitioner-led doctoral study, including the development of new skills and the navigation of the dual identity as both a professional and academic researcher.

The session provided valuable insights for business school students and educational institutions interested in supporting doctoral success within the context of management education.
