In this workshop for African and Middle Eastern business schools, speakers will share their professional experiences in adopting sustainable practices. They will discuss how business schools can use the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to actively contribute to addressing societal and environmental challenges.
Sustainability is a widely discussed global issue, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. The region faces significant challenges such as population growth, limited access to safe water, food security, and desertification.
Business schools, serving as knowledge and managerial training centres in the region, have the opportunity to train professionals and conduct research to tackle these challenges by aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The SDGs provide a shared blueprint for promoting peace and prosperity for both people and the planet. However, there are challenges in implementing and addressing them due to their broad scope and nature.
