Capacity Building Workshop – LATAM 2023 (Online)

Quality assurance in education involves systematically reviewing an institution's educational provision to enhance its quality, equity, and efficiency. This encompasses structured processes for defining and reviewing programme aims, objectives, and learning outcomes, as well as designing and improving curricula to meet these outcomes. Processes include self-evaluation, external evaluation, faculty and leadership assessments, and student evaluations.

Historically, Latin American schools underestimated quality assurance processes, but as institutions grew in complexity, their strategic importance became evident. The panel will feature schools in the region that have adopted various quality assurance processes, analysing their advantages and drawbacks.
